I’ve been snowed in before since we moved here but this one was pretty impressive. It has been hard to tell how much snow we got but the drifts in the driveway are from 6 inches to almost 3 feet. I spent a half hour playing in the snow just to make a path to the garage, get the garbage out to the curb and clean a path from the deck to the garage for the dog. Yeah, that’s my cardio for the day.
There are a couple guys in town that run around with a front-end loader and a skid loader after storms like this. They do our driveway when they get to it, but the question is, when will they get to it? Carjo has meds that come by mail waiting in the mailbox downtown. If the snowplow fairies don’t sweep in here in a few hours, I’ll have to hike downtown and get the mail. That’s not bad but carrying the groceries back is a bitch. If only I had a bison to ride.
But my morning work is done. It’s time to get writing. For friends and family that got caught in this mess, let’s remember that it’s March. Spring doesn’t require an Act of Congress to begin. That’s probably a good thing considering this Congress can’t even tie their shoes.
Love the photo! Spent more than hour doing snow removal. The dogs were totally jazzed by it, Atticus leaping-running around the yard. So happy.
I just finished with the driveway, which took over an hour. I broke it into two jobs so I didn’t die of a heart attack. The sense of accomplishment will soon be over whelmed by the pain in my arms and shoulders. Then I can milk the martyrdom for a few days, which is nice.
